Local Regatta Support Specialist (Summer position)

Summer Regatta Support Staff

US One-Design, located on Cape Cod,  is looking for energetic, reliable, and hands-on individuals to join our Regatta Support Team for the summer season. In this role, you’ll travel to local and regional dinghy regattas, providing on-site support to sailors, coaches, and event organizers. It’s a great opportunity to be immersed in the sailing community, gain event experience, and work with a team that’s passionate about keeping sailors on the water.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transport, set up, and break down US One-Design support tents and equipment at regatta venues
• Provide basic on-site sales and support to One-Design classes (C420, Opti, and ILCA/Laser)
• Deliver exceptional customer service to sailors, coaches, and families
• Manage regatta inventory (parts, sails, gear) and handle point-of-sale transactions at the event

Requirements:

• Knowledge of small boat sailing (preferably Opti, ILCA, and/or C420 classes)
• Comfortable with basic rigging and equipment handling
• Must be able to work outdoors in variable weather
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Available to work weekends as needed to travel to regatta sites on Cape Cod and Southeastern, Ma
• Valid driver’s license 

Bonus Points:

• Prior experience in one-design sailing and/or sailing instruction
• Strong customer service skills
